Testing & Education Resource Center

Gale’s Testing & Education Resource Center is available for FREE to any students with a Stey-Nevant Public Library Card.
 
The Testing & Education Resource Center provides standardized test preparation, undergraduate and graduate program research, tuition assistance information and career advice, including:   
  • Full-length, timed practice exams for AP, ACT, SAT, PSAT, GMAT, GRE, LSAT, MCAT and more.  
  • An intuitive search of 4,000+ accredited schools with quick results on school location, tuition, academics, admission requirements, campus life, and much more.
  • Financial aid tools to help students and parents plan, budget, and identify college-funding resources.   
  • Career development tools that map career interests, help with job search guidance, and provide resume and interviewing advice.

Military Exemption

In accordance with the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001, the National Defense Authorization Act of 2002, and the Pennsylvania Act 10 of 1991 (The Armed Forces Recruiting Act), the Farrell Area School District must disclose the names, addresses, and telephone numbers of high school junior and senior students to military recruiters.

The district must also notify parents of their right and the right of the child to request that the district not release such information within 21 days of the lists being made available for release. Military recruiters are entitled to request and receive these lists throughout the year.

Parents wishing to exercise their option to withhold their consent of the release of the above information to military recruiters must notify the school in writing.
